We’re proud to share the final photos of the Powder Springs City Hall expansion and renovation, a two-year effort in collaboration with the City of Powder Springs and Croft.

The scope included:

🏢 24,000 SF two-story addition
🛠️ 10,000 SF of interior renovations
🚙 52,000 SF two-story precast parking deck

Inside, the upgrades feature a brand-new courtroom, several offices, conference rooms, collaboration areas, breakrooms, restrooms, and a covered porch—all designed to better serve the community for years to come.

Macallan University Hits the Job Site👷 🏗️

Our latest Macallan University session took us into the field — right to the newly completed Powder Springs Municipal Court. This immersive, on-site learning experience gave our team a firsthand look at the complex logistics, coordination strategies, and lessons learned from a multifaceted municipality construction project. From navigating tight timelines to balancing stakeholder expectations, this project exemplified the importance of adaptability, communication, and teamwork in delivering high-performance spaces for the public.

It's Feature Friday! Get to know a little more about our new Superintendent, Genette!

What attracted you to construction?

- During my childhood and teenage years, whenever my father had a modest surplus of funds, he would invest in building materials to create a dream home for my mother and the three of us children, partially constructed underground. While we were not hobbits, our lives have often been marked by unconventional experiences.

Together, my father and I dedicated every opportunity we had to this project, ultimately constructing a five-bedroom, two-bathroom home built into the hillside on our current property, where we also resided in a century-old farmhouse until the new house was completed. We were involved in every aspect of the construction, from laying the foundation and waterproofing to installing trusses, roofing, electrical systems, plumbing, and all the finishing touches. It was a labor of love, and it became our home.

What advice would you want to give someone who wanted to enter the construction field?

- Be open to learning, regardless of your specific trade.

Tell us an interesting or fun fact about yourself!

- I enjoy spearfishing.

Sterling Estates - East Cobb's renovations were completed in 2014. The ninety-unit, 93,500 SF assisted living facility is surrounded by six two-story cottages, housing a 2,000 SF independent living residence on each floor.

Macallan constructed 36,000 SF of two and three-bedroom duplexes, each with its own two-car garages, full-featured kitchens, hardwood floors, and covered porches.

Union City Hall | Final Photos

The renovations at Union City's City Hall are now complete! We updated the main entrance, customer service area, city hall offices, utility department, and council chambers. The upgrades include new flooring, fresh paint, improved electrical systems, custom millwork, roofing, exterior signage, and an exterior canopy.

We are proud to present this refreshed space for city officials and the community they serve!
